Course Cancellation and Refunds
At Brightvyneck, we understand that circumstances can change. Our refund policy for creative writing courses is designed to be fair while ensuring we can maintain quality programs for all students.
Refund Schedule
- 7+ days before course start: 100% refund of course fees
- 3-6 days before course start: 50% refund of course fees
- Less than 3 days before start: No refund available
- After course begins: No refund, but course credit may be offered
How to Request a Refund
To cancel your creative writing course enrollment and request a refund:
- Email us at callme@brightvyneck.world with your booking details
- Call our studio at +61 3 99585 799 during business hours
- Visit us in person at 170 Elgin St, Carlton VIC 3053
- Include your full name, course name, and enrollment date
Processing Time
- Refund requests are processed within 2-3 business days
- Credit card refunds appear within 5-10 business days
- Bank transfer refunds are processed within 3-5 business days
- You will receive email confirmation once the refund is processed
Course Credits
In certain circumstances, we may offer course credits instead of refunds:
- Medical emergencies with appropriate documentation
- Family emergencies or unexpected life events
- Course cancellations initiated by brightvyneck
- Credits are valid for 12 months from the issue date
Course Transfers
- Transfer to a different course session at no additional cost (if done 7+ days in advance)
- One-time transfer allowed per enrollment
- Subject to availability in the desired course session
- Price differences may apply for different course types
Brightvyneck Initiated Cancellations
If we need to cancel a creative writing course:
- Full refund provided regardless of timing
- Alternative course dates offered when available
- Priority booking for future courses
- Notification provided at least 48 hours in advance
Workshop and Special Event Refunds
- Single workshops: 48-hour cancellation policy
- Special events: Refund policy stated at time of booking
- Intensive workshops: Same policy as regular courses
- Private sessions: 24-hour cancellation policy
Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Course materials and books (unless defective)
- Administrative or processing fees
- Completed course sessions or workshops
- Gift certificates (but can be transferred to another person)
Exceptional Circumstances
We may consider refunds outside our standard policy for:
- Serious illness or injury (medical documentation required)
- Death in immediate family
- Military deployment or relocation
- Other extraordinary circumstances at our discretion
Dispute Resolution
If you're not satisfied with our refund decision:
- Contact our studio manager to discuss your situation
- We will review each case individually and fairly
- Written appeals can be submitted via email
- Final decisions will be communicated within 5 business days
